World Tricycle Championships 2010

The World Tricycle Championships will be held in the UK in 2010.
Venue will be at Blenheim Palace, near Oxford, on 3rd October 2010.
They will be held as part of the Festival of Cycling, details of the TA's involvement in 2009 on Blenheim 2009.

Saturday 2nd October.
A social ride around some lanes in Oxfordshire with a refreshment stop along the way. Approximate distance 50k.

Sunday 3rd October.

Morning. 20k time trial. 3 circuits around the beautiful grounds of Blenheim Palace on closed roads.
We will be set off in a block within the main time trial for bikes.
There are places in our block for Tandem Tricycles, Recumbent tricycles (for disabled riders only) and handbikes.
There will be a total of around 400 riders in the whole event, with 75 places reserved for the T.A.
After the time trial there is plenty to see at the Cycle Festival or visit the Palace and formal gardens.
There will be a Brompton folding bike road race after the time trial (this year there were around 600 entries).
After this you can cycle around the estate at your leisure until 16:30.

Afternoon 17:00 hrs. There will be a criterium as the second part of the WTC for tricycles only.
This is on a shorter circuit ( about 2.5k) and the duration is 30 minutes plus one lap.

All entries will be via the Bike Blenheim website which will be available in 2010 ( more details later)

Sunday Evening
We will arrange a buffet for the evening ( details to follow)
