Trikes in the snow

Another 'proper' winter with the earliest snow for 17 years has prompted the reprise of 'Trikes in the Snow'. Members photos taken whilst enjoying the snow that blanketed the country. As the second coating of snow melts in time for an un-white Christmas, Martin Purser offers another gem. It seems that bears are taking over the TA.

Alternative transport during the big freeze

Originally the design appeared in "Velocipede" circa 1869, the driving wheel is shod with sharp points to aid traction and the 'farthing' replaced by huge skates.

Apparently it is no longer possible to purchase replacement spikes or skates from Halfords.
