South Eastern

The South Eastern region nominally covers Kent, Sussex, Surrey and parts of Hampshire but this does not exclude regular visitors from London, Essex and beyond and our region’s members are well known at national events.

Time-trials are a convenient form of competition for tricyclists who wish to "stretch their legs" and the full set from 10 miles through to 12 hours.

Owen Harden is an enthusiastic Captain and promotes social rides after the shorter time-trials and also enjoys occasional Youth Hostel Weekends. These are promoted by the south east region and have also been held jointly with the Thames valley’s Chris Hewitt. For many, these are a rare and rewarding opportunity to ride in company with other tricyclists.

As a widely spread organization, the Tricycle Association is reliant on reunion dinners during the winter season. The south east region is no exception and the dinner is one of the highlights. A good attendance is assured and as at most reunions, there is always news and gossip to exchange and a party atmosphere prevails.

Members of the region are also popular members of other local cycling clubs and regional associations including the Potterers Cycling Club and the Fellowship of Kent and Sussex Cyclists.

Regular Meeting Places of the South Eastern Region are:-

Monday Evenings (Except Bank Holidays) 9pm The Rising Sun, Fawkham.

Wednesday Mornings at 10am, the Jungle Cafe, Addington (near West Malling).

Sunday Mornings at 10am, Michael's Diner at the top of Polehill.
