Midland

Covering - most of Derbyshire and Staffordshire, Leicestershire, Worcestershire and parts of Nottinghamshire the Midland region has a diverse membership, comprising time triallists, long distance riders (including Pat Kenny who records a mileage in excess of 30,000 a year; Les Lowe, Jim Hopper (pictured right) and Jim Ithell, who are members of the 24 hour fellowship - an elite club for cyclists who have participated in 24 hour cycling events; tourists, social riders, necessity riders who have no other form of transport.

Every year in September the region hosts the National 10 mile (for the Jenny Noad Memorial Trophy) and 25 mile championship (for the Stan Spelling Memorial Trophy), both of which are held on the same weekend at an excellent venue for camping and social activities.

During the winter and early spring months we have social runs and a weekend away, also we have our region’s Annual Lunch.

The Tricycle Association National Dinner and Prizegiving is held at the end of October near Warwick and is preceded on the Saturday afternoon by a fun 7.5 mile time trial, and is followed on the Sunday morning by the National AGM.
