The Rules for the Tricycle Criterium League:

1. Only fully paid up members of the Tricycle Association are eligible to qualify for the League.
2. Events to qualify must be held under British Cycling Rules and open to tricyclists only.
3. At least four TA entries to constitute an event.
4. The League to be decided on a rider’s best five performances in a season. Method of scoring being 10 point first position; 9 points second position; 8 points third and so on up to ninth place after which all finishers will receive 1 point. In allocating points finishing positions of non TA members will be ignored. Counting events are shown in green where riders have competed in more than 5 events.

The Tricycle Criterium League Organizer will be responsible for collecting and collating the event results, maintaining a updated list of qualifiers and positions throughout the season and providing a final list of qualifiers and positions so that any necessary trophies and certificates can be awarded at the Annual Dinner and Reunion in October of each year

When confirmed, the eight counting events for 2010 will be listed in the Gazette and on the TA website.

Tricycle Criterium League 2010

There are some new tricycle massed start races for 2010. Weston-super-Mare and Swindon have not yet finalised their dates, although the Weston-super-Mare event will probably be after Easter and the Swindon event will be in late June.

Sadly the National Championships scheduled to be run at Merryfield Airfield near Ilminster on Saturday 19th June was cancelled due to insufficient entries. The National Championship will be held instead on the Warwick criterium, see below.

Plomesgate CC Grass Track Meeting will be in Bredfield near Ipswich on Saturday 3rd July and be able to camp there overnight. Entry File: Plomesgate Grass Entry 2010.pdf

Colchester Rovers Open Grass Track Meeting will be on the next day.

Once again the West Suffolk Wheelers Grass Track Meeting in Bury St. Edmunds on Sunday 8th August has been cancelled due to insufficient entries.

Tricycle grass track racing in the Mildenhall Rally on August Bank Holiday week-end has now been added into the full Rally racing programme. The trike races will happen on the Saturday and will be BC races.

We have been invited again to the enjoyable and well organised Warwick Town Centre Cycle Races on Sunday 5th September. There will be no entries on the day.

The hoped for criterium at the World Championships at Blenheim Palace grounds on Sunday 3rd October will not be run, largely due to problems in the logistics.

Further information will soon be on the TA website and may already be on the British Cycling website calendar. Feel free to telephone me about events or particularly the Weston-super-Mare event.
